FGD Innovation of Quality of Experience (QoE) Measurement Model for Video Streaming Services Based on User Perceptions
ACM Chapter Bandung in collaboration with the Research Center for Information and Communication Technology (PPTIK) of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) entitled “An Innovative Model for Measuring Quality of Experience (QoE) in Video Streaming Services Based on User Perceptions.” The event took place at the CRiMSE Auditorium, 8th Floor, ITB, and brought together 50 selected participants from academia, research institutions, industry, and students.
The discussion will be officially opened by Prof. Andriyan Bayu Suksmono, M.T., Ph.D, Chair of the Bandung ACM Chapter, who highlighted the importance of academic and professional collaboration in developing user-centered approaches to evaluating modern digital services, especially video streaming platforms where user perception is key to service quality.
The FGD featured two distinguished speakers, Prof. Dr. Ir. Y. Bandung, S.T., M.T., and Prof. Armein Z. R. Langi, M.Sc., Ph.D. A special highlight of the event was an interactive workshop session led by Fahmi Chandra Permana, S.Si., M.T., a researcher at PPTIK ITB, who guided participants through hands-on QoE measurement exercises using real-world streaming scenarios and user perception analysis techniques. All participants received e-certificates as recognition of their active involvement.
This FGD is part of Bandung ACM Chapter’s ongoing commitment to fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in the field of computing. By connecting professionals and researchers in meaningful discussions, the chapter aims to promote applied research that addresses real-world challenges in digital service quality and user satisfaction.
