ACM Chapter Bandung Holds Hybrid Board Meeting to Discuss Bylaws Revision and 2025 Election Preparation

Bandung, [22 May 2025] — ACM Chapter Bandung recently held a hybrid Board Meeting, combining both in-person and virtual participation, to discuss strategic matters concerning the organization’s governance and upcoming programs. The meeting resulted in several key decisions that will guide the chapter’s direction in the coming term.

A major item on the agenda was the proposed revision of the chapter’s bylaws, including an adjustment to the term length for the Chair position—from one year to two years. This change is aimed at ensuring leadership continuity and enabling more effective implementation of medium-term programs.

To enhance transparency and facilitate access to information, the board also emphasized the importance of regularly updating the official website. The site will serve as a central hub for documenting activities, publishing announcements, and sharing important data with members and the public.

The meeting also marked the beginning of preparations for the 2025 Annual Report. This report will summarize the chapter’s activities during the 2024–2025 period and outline the plans for 2025–2026. All board members are encouraged to contribute to the completion of the necessary forms and provide relevant data.

Another important agenda item was the preparation for the upcoming leadership election, scheduled for the end of 2025. The election process will be designed to be inclusive, transparent, and aligned with the democratic values upheld by ACM Chapter Bandung.

The meeting ran smoothly and demonstrated a strong spirit of collaboration among the board members, reaffirming their commitment to advancing the chapter and contributing meaningfully to the computing and technology community in Indonesia, particularly in the Bandung region.
