STEI ITB to Host International Seminar on Digital Twins and Personalization in Closed-Loop Bioelectronic Systems

The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics ITB will host an international seminar titled “Digital Twins and Personalization in Closed-Loop Bioelectronic Systems” on April 15, 2026. The event will take place at the Multimedia Room, Labtek VIII Building, 3rd Floor, ITB Ganesha Campus, from 10:30 to 12:10 WIB.

The seminar will feature Dr. Vega Pradana Rachim as the keynote speaker. He currently serves as a Research Scientist at the Integrated BioElectronics Laboratory and the Research Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED) at New York University Abu Dhabi. In this session, he will present recent advancements in the application of digital twins and personalization approaches within closed-loop bioelectronic systems, an emerging frontier in modern healthcare technology.

Digital twin technology enables real-time digital representations of biological systems or patients, allowing for continuous monitoring, predictive analysis, and more precise decision-making. When integrated with closed-loop systems, which can autonomously respond to physiological conditions, this approach offers significant potential for developing adaptive, intelligent, and personalized medical devices.

The seminar will be moderated by Ir. Astri Handayani, S.T., M.T., who will facilitate an interactive discussion between the speaker and participants. Beyond knowledge dissemination, the event aims to foster academic exchange and encourage research collaboration in the fields of bioelectronics, intelligent systems, and healthcare technology.

This seminar is supported by ACM Chapter Bandung as part of a broader effort to strengthen the computing and technology research community.

The event is open to students, faculty members, researchers, and the general public with an interest in biomedical technology and intelligent systems. Registration can be completed by scanning the QR code provided in the event poster.

Through this initiative, STEI ITB reaffirms its commitment to advancing academic excellence and serving as a platform that connects global technological developments with local research and innovation.
