STEI ITB Holds WCU Seminar: Quantum Devices, Technology, and Information Processing
STEI ITB Electronics Scientific Group and STEI ITB Quantum Technology Laboratory successfully held a World Class University (WCU) Seminar entitled “Quantum Devices, Technology, and Information Processing” on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in the Main Seminar Room, ITB Central Library Building. The event presented three experts in the field of quantum technology who discussed the latest innovations in quantum devices and computing.
Speakers and Materials
The seminar featured presentations from three prominent academics:
- Prof. Kwek Leong Chuan (Quantum Science & Engineering Centre, NTU Singapore) with the topic “An Integrated Silicon Photonic Chip Platform for Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution” which discusses the development of a silicon photonic chip platform for quantum key distribution.
- Prof. Trio Adiono, Ph.D. (STEI ITB) presented the material “AI Accelerator Design for Edge Computing and Semiconductor Activities in ITB”, highlighting the design of AI accelerators for edge computing and semiconductor development.
- Prof. Andriyan Bayu Suksmono, Ph.D. (STEI ITB & Chair Bandung ACM Chapter) with the presentation “Finding Hadamard Matrices Using Quantum Computers”, which discussed the utilization of quantum computers in Hadamard matrix search.
